OLD SPICE!! Aahhhh

What is the big controversy over the best smelling under arm deodorant on the market. Some one said, "what is with the name, that should tell you something." Do you want me to put on some new smell that came from the locker room of the local school gym?  This excellent fragrance has stood the test of time. Many deodorants have come and gone and everyone tries to reach the pinnacle... OLD SPICE. Many things do get better with age; cheese is one fine example if it is not left unwrapped in the refrigerator too long. I am told, that wine is better with age. It seems like clothing and styles get better with age as well as many people are now wearing the same thing we wore in the 70's! So there must be something to say about Old Spice's fragrance. And besides, it is underarm deodorant and you shouldn't be sticking your nose in there to check things out anyway unless your name is Mary Katherine Gallagher from SNL and at least she used her fingers to check things out. I for one, will stand and firm on the side of Old Spice, unless Jane stops buying it for me for some Organic brew someone has whipped up at which time I will have to be a closet user.

Snow in April

Ok, this is no joke... it is April 19 and it snowed 4 inches last night in Mill Creek/Lynnwood Washington. We are right in the middle of the convergence zone where the weather is usually worse, meaning we get weird and worse weather than anyone else around here. If you went 5 miles south, no snow... or five miles north, the same. I took this picture at 7:30 this morning. To top this off, last Saturday it was 85 degrees and the most beautiful day of the year. Boy am I ever glad that we have global warming?

Family and home

A little comment if I can and since it is our blog, I will... a house is a building we live in for a little while, sometimes even years. But a home is something that families build together that transcends a building and will last an eternity. Each day, each of us, living in a house, build a home that provides comfort, warmth, happiness, and love far greater than any house man can build could ever provide. If a family, couple, will work hard together nothing should or can tear down a home as that is where a family is. The most important structure in our society today is the family and it is under attack each and every day by forces, much of it our media, trying to rip us apart. Please keep your family in tact as your family will be the greatest achievement or work you will ever do. Nothing compares to the happiness we have received than from our family.
Jane and I count as our greatest blessing... our family. Nothing brings us more joy than to be with our children, parents, siblings, and cousins. If we had a fortune, we would spend it to gather everyone together to have some time to talk and share life. Thank you all for being a part of our family and our home. We love you all deeply.

Fun in California

We just came back from being with Ken and Cindi in Fresno, CA. We had such a great time seeing them. Mom and Dad, grandma and grandpa Hamm, also were there as they are on their way home to Lynnwood from their winter abode in sunny and hot Arizona. Well, we golfed and laughed and played games and just had a great time. One of the BIG highlights and benefits of the trip is that Paula, Ken's daughter, her awesome husband Michael, and their sons Gavin (16) and Mackay came down from Modesto to see us all on Sunday. It was so great to see them again as it had been since Tim Hamm's wedding since we had seen them. Gavin and Mackay gave us all lessons on how to shoot pool and we were able to visit throughout the afternoon. the hard part for Jane and I was to say good bye and see them pull away to go home. Cindi's daughter Nichole was also down for a couple of days of fun and we were able to catch-up with her family as well. If there is one thing we love to do it is to visit with and see our family, wherever and whenever we can. Thank you Ken and Cindi for being so gracious to us and allowing us to be able to invade your beautiful house/home. We had a great time.
